Reiki / Animal Reiki is a Japanese healing tradition that addresses dormant or blocked energy and enhances energetic alignment in mind, body, and spirit for all living things. Reiki means spiritual or universal energy. Reiki is not a religion, it is the life force energy of science and spirit. It is your light! Reiki is the innate nourishing flow of energy which can neither be created nor destroyed, but rather shifts, transforms, and responds with tenderness to the root cause of an issue such as physical pain, anxiety, disconnection from spirit, or karmic imbalances. Reiki is gentle and impactful as it amplifies an animal’s ability to self-heal. My Animal Reiki sessions embed breathwork, meditation, visualization, intention, symbols, chants, mantras, chakra and aura alignment, connection with spirit guides, and the simultaneous “release and receive” energy that is most beneficial for your animal right at that time in its life. A Reiki Practitioner or Master Teacher who has studied Animal Reiki /Reiki lineage and received attunements sits quietly in a designated space, applies light hands-on touch and/or hovers hands in the animal’s aura. A practitioner does not "give" Reiki, but is a portal through which the Reiki is channeled and flows between one's Higher Self and an animal’s Higher Self. Because Reiki is source energy and can be accessed through timelessness and spacelessness, it flows in past, present, and future and through long-distance frequency. In-person and virtual sessions are equally beneficial.
Animals are particularly receptive to Reiki due to their sensitive nature. Just like people, animals benefit from Reiki’s healing energy for any reason that arises. Just like in yourself, you might recognize evidence of energetic misalignment in your animal’s physical or emotional state, demeanor or habits. People often prefer the hands-on touch aspects of Reiki. However, based on Kathleen Prasad’s Let Animals Lead® Animal Reiki Method, sitting in stillness in the presence of animals rather than approaching them directly with touch during a Reiki session honors their heart, sensitivity and free will. Giving the animal the space to choose their experience promotes self-discovery, internal authority, trust, and optimal healing. Often animals will approach me for touch, but it is always up to them. Animals teach us what they need, and it is when we observe and trust their true nature that their healing is enhanced. This celebrates the self-discovery and self-directedness of their soul and free will of their highest good. And inevitably, the energetic alignment of the human-animal-planet connection is enhanced as well. The sacred medley of Oneness.
As I sit fully present with the animals I support, I focus on Reiki’s healing splendor knowing that the animal can feel the energy frequency and will choose to either vibrationally attune and resonate with it instinctively or not. As with people, the energy will flow to support each animal’s highest good and they may possibly show "healing responses" in various forms. Animals often become very relaxed and fall asleep, a sign that they are grounding in the energy and healing process. Animals also sense when we embody and emanate an “all is well, dear one” mindset rather than focus on the “problem to be fixed.” This approach amplifies both the healing and free will of all living beings. Isn't that a marvelous way to live, evolve and be? This Reiki approach is love and compassion with an open heart. This is healing. This is the deep breath that respects the evolution of all beings in cell, spirit and circumstance.
Animals teach us how to teach ourselves about the free will of the soul. For all people, learning to connect with animals through Animal Reiki teaches us to connect to our own intuition, soul essence, and soul purpose. In the Animal Reiki space, our self-regulation, discernment, and energetic alignment of connection and compassion is gently centered, and any agitation or emotional overload experiences ease and whatever else arises for the highest good.

Animal Reiki is beneficial for all animals, just as it is for humans. Each of us is a blueprint for healing, and Reiki empowers the innate healing process in gentle, loving, and impactful ways.

In our sessions, I bring my empathic and intuitive skills, training, experience, and love when offering Animal Reiki. I also teach the techniques to you, your animal's caregiver.
